ZSTU School of Civil Engineering and Architecture was founded in 2002. The school consists of five undergraduate majors, i.e., building environment and energy application engineering, architecture, civil engineering, project management and landscape architecture. There are three master's degree programs including material science in civil engineering, urban landscape ecology and the professional program of architecture and civil engineering. There are 1800 students at study in the school. The school has one provincial key discipline of geotechnical engineering and one provincial key major of building environment and energy application engineering. There are overall 89 staffs among which 11 are professors and 31 are associate professors. The area of the experimental teaching center is 5000 m2 and the equipment amounted to more than 2,2000,000 RMB. In recent years, the college has taken on 66 national and provincial science and technology research projects, a total research funds of more than 3,1000,000 RMB and more than 380 papers published. The academic exchange activities include the invitations of a renowned scholar of the Royal Academy of Engineering of UK and scholars from Canada, Japan and other countries.
