2015 Fall's Chinese Culture Experiencing Activity for International Students Brought to A Successful Close
On October 24th, the international students office and office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs organized an autumn semester Chinese cultural trip for international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to better understand Chinses cultural. Students visited the Hangzhou Cuisines Museum and Songcheng Park, and they together watched the large performance “The Romance of the Song Dynasty”.
The Hangzhou Cuisine Museum presents nearly 400 replica dishes which provided students with a chance to learn more about Hangzhou's history, features and cooking techniques. At noon, students had lunch at a restaurant where they can have authentic Hangzhou dishes and tasted what they had seen in museum.
In Songcheng Park, students tired a variety of folk activities and tasted the cuisine. Through watching the performance “The Romance of the Song Dynasty”, students had a deeper understand about Chinese history and they all said it was a stunning audio-visual feast.
This activity were carefully prepared for the students, and provided them a good platform to make friends and experience Chinese culture atmosphere, which had significant meanings to students.
